Fenugreek is one the most ancient and popular herb. It is mainly used for cooking but besides that it can also be used as the most effective beauty product.

  1. Anti Ageing – Soak one spoon of fenugreek seeds overnight. In the morning grind it well, add three spoons yogurt to it and grind again till it forms a thick paste. Apply it evenly to your face and keep it for an hour. Rinse with cold water and if your skin becomes too dry apply a light moisturizer. Regular use of this paste would reduce signs of ageing from your face.
  2. Acne solution – Soak five spoons of fenugreek seeds overnight. Place the soaked fenugreek seeds in five cups of water. Let the water till small bubbles start coming up from the bottom. Once you see these small bubbles reduce the flame and maintain the temperature for fifteen minutes. Separate the water from fenugreek seeds and let it cool. Use a cotton ball to apply this water on your acnes thrice a day.
  3. Cure hair fall – Mix one spoon fenugreek seeds and one cup coconut oil in an air tight jar. Keep it at a room temperature for a month. The jar should not be kept in extreme temperatures like in the refrigerator or in direct sunlight. After a month separate the coconut oil from the seeds. Replace you regular hair oil with this coconut oil and it will not only effectively prevent hair fall but also lead to natural straightening of hair.
  4. Glowing skin – Mix one spoon fenugreek powder with three spoons of raw milk. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for half an hour and rinse with cold water. Homemade fenugreek powder is always preferred to the readymade one. For making your own fenugreek powder, grind the fenugreek seeds in a grinder. It will give you a coarse and pure fenugreek powder.
  5. Fight Dandruff – Dandruff is usually due to flaking of skin or infection. With the decrease in the atmospheric temperature, the problem of dandruff becomes even more prevalent. The antiseptic property of the fenugreek herb helps in permanently curing the problem of dandruff. Boil three cups of water and place some fenugreek seeds in it overnight. Take out the seeds out of water and grind them to make a thick and smooth paste. Apply the paste on your scalp and on your hair as well. The paste should be applied carefully from roots to tips. Keep the mixture till it completely dries and then rinse with cold or lukewarm water.
