Benefits of Banana for Beauty

Banana is one of the most widely available fruit in the market. Many people don’t add it to their diet due to its rich fat content but it has many health as well as beauty benefits.

  1. Moisturizer – For a dry skin banana can act as a natural moisturizer. Along with moisturizing the skin it will also repair the damaged skin cells. To use banana as an instant moisturizer apply a mashed banana on your clean and dry skin. Leave it for half an hour and wash with lukewarm water. For an extremely dry skin you can use banana as a face pack. Mix one spoon honey in a mashed banana and apply it on your face. Keep it till it dries completely. Wash with warm water.
  2. Remove excess oil – Mash a banana with one spoon lemon juice and half spoon of honey. To blend it perfectly you can use a mixer. Spread this mixture evenly on your skin and leave it for an hour. Use your regular soap or face wash to remove it. Lemon will remove the excess oil from your face while the banana will prevent it from drying too much.
  3. Natural scrub – Mash one ripe banana and mix it with coconut milk and raw rice. Apply it to your face and rub in circular motions gently. Rub it for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. To make a body scrub mash three bananas and six strawberries. Add four spoons sugar to it and mix well. While taking a bath gently massage it on your body and rub well. Take bath with your regular soap.
  4. Anti-ageing – Add half banana and two spoons rosewater in a mixer and blend well. Apply it on your face and neck. Leave it for fifteen minutes and rinse with cold water. Banana is very rich in vitamin and proteins. It will help in keeping your skin young and healthy.
  5. Soft hair – While oiling your hair mix half banana before using shampoo. It will act as a hair mask for you. Keep it for an hour and wash with cold water and your regular shampoo. It will act as a natural conditioner and make your hair soft. You will not need conditioner after shampooing your hair. It will repair the dry and damaged strands of your hair.
  6. Fight hair loss – Make a smooth paste by mixing a banana and fresh yogurt. Apply this paste on your scalp and leave it for twenty minutes. Rinse with cold water and apply a light conditioner. When your dries off completely apply warm oil to your hair and keep it overnight. In the morning wash with your shampoo.
